Many people try to force change in life and micromanage everything including their spouses. But what happens when you direct who you are to me?
We're talking about your spouse. You desire your spouse to be a certain way. And micromanaging gives you a sense of control.

With this whole COVID-19 situation, it has rocked relationships; some for the better and others for the worse.
However, one thing that is common for better or for worse is the politeness and kindness; plain ole good manners.
In the olden days, we would call this courtesy.
Only if courtesy was extended every day, not just to strangers, but more importantly to your spouse.
Who you are to me does not come from the how, what, when, where, and why of your thoughts.
It all comes from courtesy!
