Songwriter and purveyor of country music Hayley Marsten has today released her brand new single ‘Until You’, a stirring love song done Marsten’s way. “Because until you I was the kind to kiss boys in bars on a Saturday night, make fun of the loved up, get down with the beat up – that was until you.”
 
‘I've never been someone who writes a lot of love songs because I felt every time I tried it wasn't my voice, the lovey-dovey romantic stuff just doesn't seem real coming from me.'Until You' tells a love story through the eyes of a sceptical, not-committal twenty-something, it’s very reminiscent of  my University days in the big city on my own for the first time, it just needs mention of cheesy bread to be 100% factually accurate’.
 
‘Until You’ is the first single to be released from Hayley’s brassy second releaseLonestar which is released on Friday June 9* and available to pre order now. The Gladstone songwriter is older and wiser on Lonestar, which is at once playful and deeply personal.
 
“Lonestar is something I've been working on for a while now and every day until it's released is like Christmas eve because I'm so excited for people to hear these songs because I'm so proud of this record. I knew it was going to be called Lonestar after I wrote the title track and I knew that a lot of the songs would fit around that narrative, overcoming the setbacks in life, moving onwards and upwards and giving a cheeky up yours to the people who said you couldn't. It really is a snapshot of the last few years of my life and a big step forward to the next part of my career”.
