Energy is so important to everyone. After all without electricity we can’t keep ourselves warm, or cool. To be entertained, to feed ourselves, the power to charge our mobile devices so you can listen to podcasts… like this one.
Which is why it’s disappointing to report that despite a relatively mild summer in Australia, the cost of electricity is still thought to rise substantially.
How much more can Aussies continue tightening their belts?
In less than three months time, benchmark power prices are expected to jump by more than 20 percent. Last year, there were hikes of up to 18 percent on the default market offer.
But there are still ways to get a better deal, but it does require navigating the sea of energy retailers who in my opinion are virtually the same, just with a different corporate logo.
