One thing I constantly hear about is the fear of getting ideas ripped off. You may have noticed I always talk about my books: I talk about the titles, I read excerpts, I disclose my angles, etc. The reason I do is that I am not afraid of getting my ideas ripped off. And the reason I am not afraid is that my ideas are too close to my identity for anyone to rip them off successfully. Remember that copyright doesn’t protect ideas; it protects the expression of ideas.
