207. Rewatch: Connor Sears on Moving Back to KY From Silicon Valley, Working as a Product Designer at Twitter, and Building Software to Help Companies Manage Their Video Content.

Listen Later

Connor Sears is the Founder and CEO of Rewatch, a software tool that securely saves, manages, and allows teams to search all of their video content. Connor is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and left for Silicon Valley soon after graduating. During his time in California, Connor was a Product Designer for Twitter, Pinterest, GitHub, and Facebook working to design some of the most used products in the world. Now based in Louisville, Connor has continued to build Rewatch as a “remote-first” company and to date has raised $40m from investors such as a16z.

Our discussion covers Connor’s experience working at Twitter in the early days, how he approaches product design when starting a company, and some reasons behind why he chose to move back to Kentucky.
