How wise are you in handling the hurts, the failures, the pain, the brokenness?

Are you quick to run and hide for fear of being judged or corrected?

Unfortunately, most of us live our lives in secret. We don't want to be open about the deepest, darkest areas; the parts we struggle in.

There's this fear that sets into our hearts preventing us to feel the comfort of grace, mercy, and forgiveness.

Maybe you have been struggling the last few days or even weeks into months about something deeper than what you had for dinner or how to discipline your child.

Those are important at certain times. But our hearts are so fragile and we leave no room for healing and forgiveness because we're too busy running and hiding.

If that's you today, I want to encourage you.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

That statement alone is powerful. Yet we take it for granted. We quickly read over it jumping to the part of God directing your paths.

We want direction, but we fail to give God all of us; the good, the bad, and the ugly.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Break the silence!

Give God room in your heart today. Trust Him with all that you have. Give Him the nitty, gritty of what you're feeling. Just because God knows all, He still desires to hear your heart.

And that requires you to break the silence.

When you are vulnerable about your thoughts and feelings, that's when the secrets melt away. And when those secrets melt away, they lose the power of holding us back. The fear of brokenness fades. It may still appear at times, but the sting lessens.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." ~ Proverbs 3:5-6

As you trust God, it produces freedom for your heart. You feel lighter on your feet. Not because of what you've done, but because of who God is.
