Days that fill-up with other people's stuff very rarely leads me down the path of building the new. In fact, it's easy to recount all the stuff that slows me down.

The should haves leave me contemplating what I should have done differently.

The could haves reinforce that my decisions were not all that wise.

The would haves could have made it all better than what it was.

But here I sit justifying my actions, replaying the old tapes, and wishing I was somewhere else than where I'm at.

It's not a pity party. It's just me in the throws of real-life.

Honesty is a good thing. But you have to be willing to use it to fall forward. Stop fighting the old and begin building the new.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Building the new!

Forget the former things. Do not dwell on the past. God is making something new in you and through you. (Isaiah 43:18) The past served a purpose. Now, take the lessons you've learned and look forward.

It's a new day! New opportunities await you if you are willing and ready.

Building the new doesn't have to be a surprise or even a chore, but a blessing.

Live today in anticipation of the opportunities that God is making possible.

Paint the picture you want to live in your heart and begin building the new.

CHALLENGE: What are you doing today in building the new?

What do you want to see differently? What action needs to be your focus? What attitude do you need to adopt to be present in your day?

You have what it takes to be the person you desire. You can have your dreams come true. It may take time, but isn't your dream worth the time?

Conquer your day with a smile on your face and joy in your heart.

This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)
