Upon interaction, the officer detected signs of impairment including the smell of alcohol and the driver’s admission to consuming alcoholic beverages earlier that evening. She underwent several field sobriety tests—Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus, Walk and Turn, and One-Leg Stand—where she showed clear signs of intoxication and difficulty following instructions.
