INTRO:
When we watched Silicon Valley on screen, we all dreamed of life there. Now, one of my childhood friends has actually moved to the real Bay Area. This year marks the eighth year of our friendship! We both grew up in our own “bay area,” Tsingtao, and now we still live in the “bay area”, just in different countries. I’m in Australia while he’s in America. It’s hard not to feel emotional and nostalgic. But let’s be real…his bay area is the REAL one! So what’s life actually like in Silicon Valley? What shapes his decision about where to work?
