Kirk Reflections 24th April 2022.
With the Easter celebrations still hanging in the air, we turn our focus to the resurrected Jesus. He appeared to many of his followers in the days and weeks following his crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection.
So, why is this important? Why is it important that Jesus did not only ROSE from the dead, but that he also REVEALED himself on multiple occasions?
Could it be, that Jesus wanted to make sure, double sure, his followers know WHO they are, and WHAT they’re supposed to do after he ‘left the building’?
This Sunday’s reading from John 20:19-31 will help answer some of these questions.
