He may have seriously considered clown college, but Chris Shary instead ended up teaching high school drama in California, while moonlighting as an artist for many of your favorite punk rock bands, including his role as the official artist for Descendents / ALL. In our conversation we discuss his early years moving frequently and how that encouraged his art and his outgoing nature, as well as his love of cartoons, comics and punk rock - which set him on a path to his unique role in punk rock and his career as a teacher. His optimistic, genuinely inviting approach to his work and his passions is something we should all aspire to achieve.
