Indie or not indie? Well that is up to you. In this episode I will be discussing the hot potato topic of Dave the Diver and why the game didn't quite gel with me.

Is Dave the Diver one of the best indie or independent games of the year? I don't think so. The game has a lot of positives; it looks great, has a cool concept of hunting fish to serve in a sushi restaurant and it has tons of charm and flare. However, the gameplay itself feels like 'content'- it is over encumbered with gimmicky mechanics that give you something to do but don’t really elevate the base gameplay of the game.

It will be interesting to see how the game does at The Game Awards and if it comes away with the prize for Best Independent Game.
