In Part One, I take a look at what privilege and how it impacts volunteerism. Following a meaningful discussion with my husband, I took to the internet to uncover articles concerning privilege and volunteering. My aim was to facilitate introspection and reflection as I prepared for my upcoming medical education trip to Honduras, acknowledging that recognizing our own privileges can be uncomfortable.
