First and foremost is getting a ride.

They tell a cab driver where to go and they’re on their way!

They reach the hotel after a half hour in heavy traffic.

Tom gives the driver what it says on the meter plus a small gratuity.

They leave the heat of the day and enter the air-conditioned lobby of the hotel.
