Menstrual Cycle Mastery

21: Living Cyclically With Or Without A Menstrual Cycle – With Kate Codrington

Listen Later

How do we practice Menstrual Cycle Awareness or live cyclically when we don't have a cycle or when our cycle is irregular? In this episode, I am joined by my peer and friend, Kate Codrington to discuss just this. Kate specialises in the journey of menopause and is the author of the book Second Spring: the self-care guide to menopause.

This episode is perfect for anyone who has learned about menstrual cycle awareness and the inner seasons but who has a different experience of their cycle in their embodied reality.

Perhaps you have an irregular cycle, or you are on the pill, you might be navigating a pregnancy journey, , or even illness.

There are so many reasons why a cycle may not be present or regular.

Not having a regular cycle, does not mean we can't tap into the inner seasons and work with other forms of cyclicality in our lives.

In this conversation, Kate and I explore:

  • Menstrual Cycle Awareness for people without a cycle or with an irregular cycle
  • Kate's book Second Spring
  • Kate's creative journey and the seasons of her writing process
  • Why returning to kindness matters so much
  • Guiding questions to support cycles of contraction and cycles of expansion
  • The inner critic
  • Life cycles and life seasons
