Host Mark Levine of Property Management firm EBMG discusses Local Law 69 of 2017, dealing with yearly bed bug filings for all residential buildings with three or more units in New York City. Yearly reports are required to be filed with HPD between 12/1 - 12/31 of any given year. This is utilizing information that was compiled during the period of October 1 - November 31st, prior.

For those buildings with building registrations that are not presently valid with HPD (these were due by 8/30), you will need to update that registration before being able to file  your bed bug form. NYC will not allow any building with a lapsed registration to file the form.

Once the form is properly filed online, the manager can choose to post the filings in a public place in the building or distribute the form with all new and renewal leases.
