Max is a good boy who is almost always happy. But Max has a lot of energy. When he wants to do something, he want to do it right away. He gét so excited, he forgets to wait his turn. Max loves pancakes. At breakfast, he wants to have his pancakes first. He holds up his plate to his father. "Wait your turn", says dad. "There are for your sister". Max frowns. In class, the teacher asks "what is 4 plus 5?". Max knows the answer. He shouts out, "nine". "That's right", says the teacher, "but wait your turn. Next time raise your hand". On the playground, Max's favorite is the big slide. It is so high and fast. He pushes through the other children to start sliding down the slude. "Hey", the shout, "wait your turn". At the bakery, max wantsa loaf of bread. There is a long line, but he rún to the counter and says, "let me pay first, please". The clerk sáy, "wait your turn, young man, go to the end of the line". When Max returns home, he looks tired and sad. "What's wrong", asks his mom. "I tried to have fun today, says Max, but everyone told me to wait my turn". "We all have to wait our turn" says mom. "That way, everyone gét a chance to enjoys things. It's the polite thing to do. I know what will cheer you up. Let's play a board game". Max is happy again. He love board games. He llikes rolling the dice most of all. When the board is set up on the table, he grapsthe dice excitedly. Then he stops, thinks and says politely "here, mom, you can go first. I will wait my turn"
