21. The 3 Non-Negotiables That Actually Matter (Everything Else Is Noise)

In this episode, I'm cutting through all the fitness noise and telling you the only 3 things that actually matter if you want to see results.

For weight loss, my 3 non-negotiables are: weighing your food, tracking your food, and being in a calorie deficit. That's it. Not supplements, not meal timing rules, not eating specific foods at specific times - all that stuff is optional noise.

Why only 3? Because anything more than 3 becomes too overwhelming to do every single day. I learned this the hard way after another failed attempt at an extreme plan where I was trying to do everything at once - tracking every macro perfectly, working out 5 times a week, following all the "rules." It was too much and I kept failing.

So I stripped it back to one thing: 25-minute lifting sessions in my home gym. Once that was solid, I added nutrition tracking. Then a calorie deficit. Then protein focus. Baby steps, building one habit at a time.

Almost every client I work with comes to me trying to do 10 different things and feeling like they're failing at all of them. We strip it back to their ONE biggest priority, then build 3 non-negotiables around that specific goal.

Three things done consistently will get you further than 10 things done sporadically. Strip away the noise and focus on what actually matters.
