Virginia Haufler is Associate Professor in the Department of Government and Politics at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research focuses on the changing nature of governance in the global political economy, especially the role of transnational corporations and corporate social responsibility.

In this conversation, we talk about private power, the blindspots of IR regime theory, transparency in the extractive industry, and the place of ethics within the capitalist structures of the global economy, and much more.
