It’s becoming impossible for me to live in the same hyper-independent ways I’m used to. The part of me that’s created so much success in my life was created as a rebellion to the child-me who didn’t have her need of being taken care of met… and who also learned that relying on others to take care of her was not safe. Life isn’t letting me live from that place anymore, and therefore it’s graciously robbed me of my ability to take care of myself the same ways I’m used to… and for good reason; to get me evidence that it’s safe to receive support and care from those around me AND to teach me how to take care of myself when I’m not doing it for survival.
