#21 With Clear Eyes and A Full Heart (with Rayshauna Gray)

Rayshauna Gray has one of the most beautiful minds I've ever encountered. She's a public historian, truth-teller, creator, and entrepreneur who has partnered with organizations like Google, General Assembly, the Obama Foundation, and dozens of other nonprofits, universities, and community organizations to help them face history with clear-eyed compassion.

I first got to hear her speak at CreativeMornings/Boston where she shared her research for her book-in-progress, Roseland, which narrates the last 200 years of America's history through the stories of seven generations of women in her family. She managed to make everyone in attendance laugh and cry in equal measure, and I left the event with a full and open heart.

As you'll hear in our conversation, she is a dynamo. Her thinking ranges widely from deep reflections on where we come from, to playful excursions into things like astrology, family, and relationships. This was a really fun one, and I'm so excited to share it with you.
