Yes Girls Podcast | Do, Be, Learn Something New

21. Yes, yes, maybe?! I don't no! Can you repeat the question? - Yesticle

Listen Later

In this mini-episode or (much rather) Yesticle, the Yes Girls lay out all their learnings, lifelong lessons, not-so-shocking disappointments, and unexpected missteps relating to the six Yes challenges completed for Season 3.

They share what they've learnt from just a little over 3 months of doing, being & learning new things that they'd both never done before.

So, in essence, this episode is about looking back at a season in which they both said "yes" to doing standup comedy, with guest expert Brian/Ibrahim Onjoro, founder of Nairobi Comedy Club; learning how to manage their money, with Lydia Elim of Holborn Assets and Love Yourself Financially; being (very) organised, with Toni Crow of Toni Crow Leadership Coaching; learning sound production, with musician and sound engineer Peddo Brian; being activists with the one and only Boniface Mwangi; and doing DJing, with the final guest expert of the series, radio presenter and fellow podcaster, Andy Young (aka Candy Andy).

In their discussion, they cover the high-impact episodes or challenges, what they've learnt, whether they were afraid of some of those new things they tried, whether they've seen any benefits, why some were really challenging for them, and some possible new things to try out in the future.

They also touch on the overall benefits of podcasting, how they manage it all, their personal goals as podcasters, the potential future of the Yes Girls Podcast, why it's important to try new things, why everyone should be open to trying new things, and why stepping outside your comfort zone is always a good thing to do!
