2107 Unity in Marriage
There is no magic potion to create unity in marriage. Compromise is questionable, with fights more feasible. After tying the knot, together feels more apart.
Every day just seems like a battle to get what you want. You married your partner not for what he did, but what you could do together.

Why is it that something so easy prior to "I do" makes something so challenging after "We do"?Marriage is the union of two people. The union seems manageable at first. But soon we can become complacent and settle for what is not hard.
This struggle is found in most marriages. In fact, some do not even comprehend that it's happening until it's too late.
Don't compromise your marriage just because. Don't allow yourself to think that everything will go away or fix itself.
You have to work toward unity.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Work toward unity!Uniting together comes with sacrifice. A price must be paid to gain traction toward unity.
There will be many times over that you will have to give up some things (i.e., goals, dreams, etc.).
However, when you work toward unity, it awakens your heart for each other.
“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too” (Philippians 2:3–4)
- Love beyond circumstances.
- Take interest in your spouse.
- Value your spouse above you.
