A fresh report on a cyber attack in Australia, this time from Latitude Financial.

ABC News Australia recently reported that more than a quarter of a million identity documents have been stolen.

Of the 103,000 ID docs, 97% were copies of drivers licenses.

Latitude provides buy now, pay later (BNPL) schemes to major Australian retailers, including Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys and David Jones.

Last month Latitude announced it was shutting down that BNPL offering in Australia and New Zealand.

It’s subsequently been reported that the breach at Latitude Financial is deeper and still happening, plus a cancer survey may have exposed respondents to a data breach also.
