Your friend asks if you want to do something and you say, “YES!” And you truly mean that YES with the best of intentions. You want to do it. But for a whole list of possible reasons, you don’t follow through.

This is an example of making an empty commitment.

Saying yes and not following through damages our relationships with other people and ourselves so we need to watch out for them.
