Where do you take refuge when life gets the best of you? As written in the Bible, Psalm 57:1 reads, "..in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge until the destroying storms pass by."

Life throws so many curveballs. It sends you flying high in the sky on the ride of a lifetime. Then, twists and turns jerk you in many different directions.

There you lay waiting for the storm to pass. How can this be? What have you done wrong?

Life should not be this unfair. The struggles are real.

But the hope is greater than all of the storms put together.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Take refuge!

You are not alone in the struggles you face. God is with you!

Of course, that doesn't mean that you are in the clear for nothing bad to happen.

How would that strategy grow our faith?

It wouldn't. Instead, when you face the fight, flight, or freeze moments, do not hesitate to cry out.

God does hear and desires to listen closely to your requests and complaints.

Sometimes we want to hide rather than lean in. And that doesn't resolve any situation.

In the shadows of His wings, you will find refuge. There will be a peace that passes all understanding.

And no! You may not know what the next day brings, let alone the next hour. But have faith knowing that God's got you.

You are not fighting this battle by yourself.

However, when you rise in the morning, put on the armor of God. Hold tight to His truths. Let the worldly influence pass away.

This is the day that the Lord has made.

Shout it from the mountaintops. Let the worry melt away as you find refuge in the shadows of God's wings.

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"
