Celebrating Women's History Month! Born in Longview TX, Karen Silkwood relocated to Oklahoma after a divorce and got on at the Cimarron River Plutonium Production Plant in 1972 as a lab technician. Learning about the plant's toxic working conditions made Karen take action, leading to her mysterious death in 1974.
