For me tracking calories, tracking macros, and tracking food was triggering. However, when I got clear of the behaviors that I wanted to create in my life around food, I found that instead of tracking calories, food, or macros that triggered me, if I focused on the behaviors that I wanted to create inside of my relationship with food, I didn't mind tracking those.
