Linda Vernon actually started her career in the DC area in radio! She moved to Sarasota 14 years ago after living a year in IN working at a hospital in Radiology. She got a job in Sarasota in radiology and was with them for 8 years. Currently she works for 21st Century Oncology, one of the largest providers of integrated cancer care in the world! In the US alone, there are 298 treatment centers located in 15 states. Linda’s role as a physician liaison keeps her very busy as her territory covers the Ellenton/Parrish area all the way to Punta Gorda.
Besides her primary role, she is also the event coordinator/fundraiser for their non profit, 21st Century CARE Foundation which provides financial assistance to local cancer patients for inci-dentals not covered by insurance when they are receiving cancer treatments. Their goal is to allow patients to put their focus where it belongs – on beating the disease! Linda has been with the company for 6 years and loves all aspects of it. Linda says “having her Mother, Aunt and very close friends go through breast cancer makes it more than a job for her! They truly in-spire me!! When you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life!” It is her pas-sion to work with and for all cancer patients in her community! When not working Linda en-joys spending time with her family and friends, running the Ringling bridge, leading bootcamp classes, her bookclub and relaxing!
