UNDERSTANDING THE GATES AND THEIR FUNCTION. SERIES 13
Walls and gates are symbolic of peace, prosperity and national pride. When the walls of a nation or family get to be shattered by external forces for whatsoever reason, it means that such a person will eventually be led into captivity if they are not fixed. Jerusalem is a city with walls. Its wall is a symbol of its identity, values, safety, strength, and prosperity. The heart of Nehemiah’s reformation speaks of the restoration of not just the walls and gates but the entire city of Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is the epicenter of heaven’s initiative. It defines the prophetic compass and measuring scale of heaven’s prophetic dealings and demand amongst the nations. It is the seal of heaven’s judgment or approved pattern of what the Father desire to see manifest in the nations. It is the realm where the things of God rest and get to be launched into other regions and nations of the earth.
