It can feel disheartening, even frustrating, to put everything you have into getting a part only for it to go to someone who has a connection to the director or the writer or the theater owner. It doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re more talented than you, nor does it mean that they are less talented and didn’t deserve it. Unfortunately, it’s kind of just the way that it is.
