Today Melissa discusses her first 100 days as a faith-based creator, as well as the expectations she had for initial success because of others' stories she had heard. At the end she shares several tips to help you on your own content creation journey (from someone who did not go viral or get monetized overnight).
Verses mentioned in this episode:
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” ~ Romans 12:6-8
“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.” ~ 1 Corinthians 12:4
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” ~ Matthew 5:16

A Message from Melissa: “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thess. 5:21): Study the Scripture for yourself and remember that I am just a person sharing the Gospel. I make mistakes. I don't explain the Word of God in a way that will resonate with everyone. I am not going to get it right all the time, and nor will any teacher, preacher, YouTuber, or pastor. I believe we can learn so much from each other, but no person's teaching can replace getting into the Bible yourself. As Christians let's focus more on the truth that unites us -- that we are saved by grace through faith because of what Christ did for us on the cross -- rather than on the details meant to divide us. Thank you for being here, and thank you for giving me grace.
