Summary of Book
For those of you who have not read it, James talks about how 6 years after he had been hit in the face with a baseball bat, flown to the hospital, placed in coma, he was selected as the top male athlete in his university and awarded by ESPN, an honour given to only 30 players across the country. When started working, he began publishing articles about the habits he built over the years and not long after coaches in the NFL, NBA and MLB were reaching out to him. He then went on to start the a habits academy which became the premier training platform for organisations and individuals interested in building better habits.
The book draws on biology, neurology, philosophy, psychology to create a step by step actionable way to building better habits not for days or weeks but for a lifetime. It’s called atomic habits as it talks about how a tiny change, a marginal gain that are the building blocks of remarkable results. The concepts in the book help to fulfill your potential whether your goals centre around health, money, productivity, relationships or all of the above. I think the way it was written was extremely applicable to the goals we have in every aspect of our life.
