This week we welcome The Green Reaper, Elizabeth Fournier. Elizabeth is a green burial funeral director, educator, and advocate for sustainable burial options. One of those options is natural organic reduction (NOR) or human composting.

NOR is a more natural approach to the disposition of one’s body after death. This process returns the body’s nutrients back to the soil and produces only a tiny fraction of the environmental footprint required from more traditional burial or cremation practices. It recognizes our connection with the planet and affirms our being a part of the ecosystem of life.
