She was born in Sri Lanka and moved to the States when she was 10 years old because of all the danger during her country's civil rights war. She was discovered by a NY modeling agency at age 14 and has worked all the major fashion industries in the world. She is now a Pastor’s wife who travels with her husband and ministers at conferences, marriage seminars and teens girls conferences. The Griffin's run a non profit called Excellerate. This faith based educational organization helps teens that have aged out of foster care.
