Today is the day. I have hesitated to share this story for the entirety of this platform and content. So much so that I have been accused of protecting my abuser. The truth is I do protect my abuser, I also choose to forgive him. Why? Because I have enough love and grit to fill in the the cracks that he left in me AND the ones he's left in himself too. This isn't about me. It's about the overcoming of everything that has come against you. Unfortunately, my story and experience with abuse isn't uncommon and there are many people suffering in silence keeping them from living the life that they deserve.
