Evan grew up in the Pacific Northwest. When he was 14 years old, he decided that he wanted to start taking better care of his health. In middle school, he had been bullied horribly by other students. The bullying greatly affected Evan’s mental stability. He determined that nobody can knock him down and with courage and perseverance he could do anything. When he was 23 years old, he decided to run his first marathon in Park city, Utah. He thought that he was going to die after that race. That race taught him many things that he needed to learn to become a better runner. He was determined to keep going and not give up on running. Evan has ran over 50 marathons (he’s lost count). He has run 14 - 100 mile race’s. Join me today as Evan shares life lessons that running has taught him in ways that will inspire you to live a better life.

Favorite Church quote: "I testify that the tender mercies of the Lord are real and that they do not occur randomly or merely by coincidence. Often, the Lord’s timing of His tender mercies helps us to both discern and acknowledge them." -Elder Bednar
