Alia Atkinson is the fastest woman ever in the 50 and 100 SCM Breaststrokes. Born and raised in Jamaica, she won 4 individual World Championship titles and swam at 5 Olympics Games!
At her final swim meet, 2021 Fina SC World Championships, Alia was disqualified in her best event, the 50 Breaststroke. Nobody told her why. She came back and placed 4th in the 100 Breaststroke.
Alia talks about breaststroke technique, breaststroke training, her mentality in the ready room, having longevity in the sport, and much more.
