Jason Bateman January crosses over into the early 2000s with Some of My Best Friends, which was a short-lived CBS sitcom where Jason Bateman plays a young, gay, down-on-his-luck, unemployed writer who gets a buff, straight, very macho, unemployed actor as a roommate. It's like Will & Grace, without Will, or Grace, or Jack, or Karen. But, of course, shenanigans still ensue.
