Authors are leaders because they stand up and put their ideas in the spotlight. You may not consider yourself ready to be a leader just yet, or you may not consider yourself ready to be an author. What you need to realize is that once a leader, you can be an author. And anybody can be a leader. We all have a gift that’s unique to us. As individuals, our job is to 1) find that gift, 2) pursue that gift, and 3) make the best out of it to live a life we love. You’ll find your gift by looking at the intersection of the things that define you. Once you’ve done so, you can pursue it and rally people around your gift, which in turn will make you a leader.
