Parents of babies and infants who suspect their child may be showing signs of autism – this one’s for you! 🧠👶

In today’s podcast episode, I’m reviewing the fascinating (and yes, vintage!) German book „Wie weit ist ein Kind entwickelt?“ (“How Developed is a Child?”) by E.J. Kipard, published in 1975. 📖🇩🇪

I’ve translated the key points from German to English in real time to provide insight into what Kipard suggests parents observe in their babies and infants at home and in daily environments. 🏠👀

Now, I’m not a doctor, and yes – this book is almost 50 years old – but what surprised me is how relevant and insightful some of the developmental cues still are today. ✨ It was a joy to read and interpret, and I believe it can be just as meaningful for some of you.

Sometimes, translations of older, foreign-language works hold unexpected keys to modern family life and understanding. 🗝️❤️

Give it a listen – and stay tuned for Nancy Gilette, who will help you explore these findings even further. 🎧👩‍⚕️
