God is powerful enough to work through my sufferings in this life for my eternal good. He does not create evil, but he does work through it for his good purposes for me. For that reason, I can even praise God in the midst of hardship. Since I know that Jesus suffered immeasurably for me, I give thanks because God does not take my suffering lightly, but loves and cares for me deeply.
