Do you have a special place where you might feel close to God? Is there a favourite church building that draws you into the divine presence? In the New Testament, the word ‘Church’ always refers to God’s people and never to a building. Yet many of us find comfort in familiar places devoted to prayer and worship.
This week we are thinking about sacred spaces. Some might have a part of their home given over to prayer. Some might feel that sense of peace or joy on a garden bench or on a favourite walk. Some might feel it in a church building. If you don’t have a special ‘sacred space’ at home, maybe you could create one.
Hearsall at Home is written and presented by Rev David Sutcliffe, with additional material this week from Anne Thompson.
The readers were Elaine & Stephen Mitchell and Anne Thompson
Music and songs by Martin Prue, Seb Farrall, Nick Leonard, and Fran Pritchard.
