ashlie johnson coggins is a fine art photographer and artist from chapel hill, north carolina. she focuses on the ephemeral beauty and sublime strangeness of the natural world. her work features dimensional, painterly images that draw upon the improvisational tradition of abstract expressionism. in addition to her practice, she is part of the electro creative workshop at the clorox company, working as a senior designer for burt's bees and fresh step.
