Every situation can be categorized in five factors: circumstances that trigger our thoughts that generate a feeling, that cause us to action or inaction, which produces a result.
For all of us, we make our circumstances meaningful through our thoughts, which are the sentences that constantly run through our minds. Most of the time we’re unaware of our thoughts and even if we notice them we feel we they are just reality.
It’s not the circumstance, but the way we think about it. It’s not our feelings, but rather the thought that triggered the feeling. Our thoughts and feelings are what resulted in the action or behaviors. Our thoughts directly generate the results we experience in our lives. So, the root of our problem is not the undesired results, but the thoughts that we led to those unwanted results.
Our current thinking is what creates our current life, so we get to start there! Find out why? Why are we having these thoughts? And why are you choosing to voluntarily keep holding on to them or believe them?
Becoming aware and living in a way where we don’t react and we are not victimized by others, instead, we are in control of the situation and get the results we really desire. This allows us to view life in a neutral way, own up to our own thinking, our feelings and use our agency to decide what we want to think about what happening and what will the effect of those thoughts be in our lives.
