At the time of recording (January), stepping on the scale is an especially popular and often anxiety-inducing part of tracking fitness progress.
This begs a few questions though:
Is the scale even necessary? Are there other ways to track progress?
Is it possible to still use the scale in a productive-but-not-scary way?
