Founder of The Competition Agency and new owner of SimpleShop. Iain Haywood talks about how purchasing businesses from tired owners is a fantastic way to grow.

With a background in startups since 2008 he has tried and tested every business you can think of. Many were wildly unsuccessful, mercifully some were. These days he wears four main hats, owner of a niche marketing agency since 2010 called The Competition Agency, he is also involved with a fintech juggernaut called Smart Pension and an ecommerce juggernaut called Arena Flowers (although founded neither), and latterly acquired SimpleShop last year.

SimpleShop is an ecommerce platform and website builder that is the easiest, fastest, and most affordable way to create and run an online store. Quite a simple proposition! We're easier and cheaper than shopify, but more powerful out of the box than many of your regular garden website builders. He is investing huge amounts of resource into bringing SimpleShop into 2020 as the most competitive offering in the market, which against very large incumbent competitors is no small task
