October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month and I couldn't start this month out without acknowledging the person that changed my life in the most profound way. My daughter, Casey Jane, is the light and the glue of our entire family. I could not imagine my life without her in it. She is the one that has taught us what it is like to live with Down Syndrome, how important it is to advocate for her community, and how enriched and fulfilling life can be for people with Down Syndrome and their families.

So, naturally, I had to bring her on the show.
