Graduating from Vet School is a huge milestone that vet student looks forward to. But what happens after that?
The wonderful reality of vet school, is that you get to work in the profession after you graduate. But what sort of opportunities are available to students (in this case, in the UK) as they approach this milestone, and what if you don't yet know where in vet med you want to work?
The best advice to that question... Just start looking. There is always something to learn from every area of vet med. So whether you want to work in small animal corporate, or a private mixed practice it's always in your favor to see what's out there.
In today's episode, we do just that!
I had the opportunity to chat with Rob Tulloch, a Dick Vet alumni, who at the time of this conversation held the position of Regional Director for MediVet.
Located in the south of the UK, MediVet is a community of practices and veterinary professionals who are not only known for their high quality of veterinary care, but for their focus on the mentorship of new graduates. Starting from the time they first enter the practice doors for EMS, MediVet understands the value of caring for young students as they continue on through their careers.
So whether you are a new graduate, or if you are in your final year like myself, I invite you to listen to my conversation with Rob as we discuss mentorship and entering the profession as a newly qualified veterinarian.
