You have to judge a person by what they do, not by what they claim they will do.

My mum had a saying when I was a kid, You'll do big things in your knickers, I always to this to be a call out of my bs.

Everytime I hear someone come up with an excuse as to why they are starting something again, why they have stopped again for the 100th time and why this time will be different, I hear my mum say "You'll do big things in your knickers"
